T is for Tapestry

In days of yore, long before WordPress and blogging, heroic tales were told through the medium of tapestry. These took a while to produce and, as the first draft of the Bayeux Tapestry below may indicate, were often embellished as they were passed down through the ages.

NB the word “tapestry” alludes to the format’s origins in the tapas bars of Olde England.

  1. I like it! I’ve always heard my uncles talk about the one that got away and it would have been nice, back then, to really see a pic of what it looked like. Just as in this case, it would have been for really cool talk if they’d drawn it on a napkin. Nevertheless, I’ll never forget their stories.

Type away, me hearties! Type until your hands are sore...
